CHILD DEDICATION AT ROCKPOINT
Many churches practice infant baptism believing the child has eternal salvation through this religious rite. The Bible clearly teaches that salvation comes only through belief in Jesus, – “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9). An infant hasn’t had a chance to come to faith in God’s plan, so baptism isn’t assurance of eternal salvation.
Rather than infant baptism, we offer parents the opportunity to participate in Child Dedication. Our desire is to teach all we can to help parents create an atmosphere at home so their children will arrive at their own decision to accept salvation through Christ, and then follow their decision with baptism as an outward proclamation of their internal decision.

KIDS BAPTISM
Is your child asking questions about baptism? How do you know if your child is ready to be baptized? Elementary aged children and their grown-ups are invited to join us at our baptism class as we talk about how, when and why we practice believer’s baptism at Rockpoint.
