a group of eleven families from First Evangelical Free Church in St. Paul, began meeting in homes to pray about planting a church in the East Metro. On November 2, 1969, Lakewood Evangelical Free Church held its first service in a local White Bear Lake elementary school.
we built our first permanent facility in White Bear Lake on County Road E.
after nearly three decades of prayer and growth, we outgrew that building and purchased land in Lake Elmo where we started construction on our current facility in 2006. That was about the time we renamed our church to Rockpoint.
